Inside work

After 18 years of working in medical recruitment as both Consultant and Manager, I joined the Ashberry team in early 2021.  I started during lockdown so spent my initial months working in my sister’s kitchen as she also works at Ashberry!  Meeting everyone for the first time was like I’d known them a lifetime as it’s such a friendly and welcoming company.  My job is to recruit new candidates for the business and help them through the process to get them ready to work with us.  It’s a great role as many of the candidates often become friends along the way and keep in touch after they are out working with the booking teams, even though they have actually ‘flown my nest’!  I love coming to work so consider myself very lucky.

Outside work

I live with my husband Darren, who I met when I was 18 and we’ve been married for over 31 years.  We have a son Jake who has a little boy called Stanley, with his wife Grace, and we love being grandparents for the first time!  A huge amount of my spare time is spent spoiling my grandson and babysitting, which I love!  I enjoy socialising with a drink or two, shopping and re-designing clothes.  I’m a regular on the sewing machine!
